Great Bliss is the creative planet of Jason McGill, established in 2009, out of necessity. Born Aquarius in the fertile ground of 1972, Jason has been thinking, writing, and playing for decades. Yet, until this project, the man has failed to heed a particularly incessant, nagging inner call to share his true heart with you. Great Bliss is the result of answering, listening, contemplating, and finally making what’s meant to be. So everything will be alright, and all can sleep at night.
Specifically, Great Bliss will take multiple forms–from music to writing to visual work–and will be sequential in nature. For instance, Great Bliss #1 is to be a compact disc, Great Bliss #2 is to be a book. Thus, it is not quite a “band,” not quite a “publication,” but a series of projects that may go in any direction at all. The common factor is the mind of McGill. He reportedly will only publish an edition of Great Bliss if it passes the test of being an object that he himself would like to buy for $15.
This website is not the project itself, but rather somewhat of a documentation of, and supplement to, the creative process as it develops. Unless otherwise noted, all words, images, sounds, and whatnots found here have been created by this sole solemn man. Other tangents may apply from time to time, such as marketing schemes to make this all a remarkable success.
Jason currently lives in Providence, RI, USA with his incredible wife, Nicole. He can be reached via:
